401(k) plans are a valuable employee benefit but it can be challenging to stay in compliance with all the tax and fiduciary rules that govern them.  This presentation looks at common errors that occur in 401(k) plans with a focus on strategies to avoid them and methods to correct them.  The goal of the presentation, which is given by one of the authors of the “401(k) Answer Book”, is to help employers work most effectively with their service providers to avoid both fiduciary risk as well as tax penalties or other unexpected payments.
