Troop 27137 of the Odessa Girl Scouts is hosting a Career Fair on Saturday April 11th from 2-6 PM at the PAL Floyd Gwin Gym (1015 N. County Road W). We would like to invite you, our PBSHRM members, to participate by giving mock interviews.
Purpose of the event:
The reason behind the event is that Scouts is first and foremost a community building organization, preparing our future generations to play a productive part in our communities. It was our goal to organize a Career Fair, not just for our scouts, but for anyone in the community who is interested. The idea behind the event is that people, especially students, can come and see what they need to do to get a certain job: job requirements, responsibilities, reasonable pay expectations, what training is required (trade school, college, on the job training, etc.). Our goal is to create a platform where students can talk to professionals in our community and get their information from the source, as well as create an opportunity for asking questions and create a network between the student population and professional world.
